Woodside High School is a large culturally mixed comprehensive school in Wood Green, London N22. The pupils and staff between them speak an estimated thirty-four languages. In September 2006, new uniforms were introduced and the school was re-named to Woodside High from White Hart Lane because the previous name had carried a bad reputation and the new Headteacher had decided to give the school a make-over, pupils voted on how the school uniform would look and what it would be formally called.The school is now considered on the best schools in Haringey being top 4 and it on top 25 of most improvind schools. It carries a new reputation that is valued by the students.

Location and buildings

The school is located on White hart lane Lane in Wood Green, in the London Borough of Haringey, North London. The School is located around twenty-minutes from Wood Green shopping center, it is also located across the road from New River sports centre.

Redevelopments

Over recent years approximately 22 million pounds has been spent on refurbishment and rebuilding works. The school benefits with a number of facilities and new buildings.

Specialist status

The school was given specialist status in Business and Enterprise in September 2004. And since then the it has transformed into a very bright school with the potential to go far, business studies courses are very popular amongst students.

The Ofsted Inspection in February 2011 rated the school as outstanding
